There is a little lighthouse on the beach in Island Bay - I've always loved the place, and I've talked about it here before - folklore has it that a romantic soul built the lighthouse for his artist-wife as a studio, however it didn't work out and so now they rent it out as a B&B.

Ever since seeing it on TV, I've wanted to stay there. From the outside, it is so realistic that it is often mistaken for a real lighthouse, however inside, the lower level is a kitchen/living area, then the middle floor is a master bedroom and en-suite, then the top floor which has windows the full way around, is a lounge area/bedroom.

I told Argyle about it one day and he said to find out how much it'd be for the night, so yesterday I did, it is more expensive than I'd normally consider, but he said I should book it for my birthday this year.

He is coming over to spend the week with me, so I'm going to wake up on my birthday wrapped in lovers arms, then we will spend the morning with my son, maybe take him out to breakfast, then my folks have agreed to take him for the day, so Argyle and I can spend the afternoon in the lighthouse, I'm thinking massage oil, backrubs, reading aloud to each other and relaxation, relaxation,relaxation.

Dinner will be at Eden, the restaurant we had our first date at, not far from the lighthouse then a walk on the beach and some slow dancing before heading to bed, and I'm even promised a sleep in!

How perfect does that sound? perfectly Romantic.

I'm so excited and my birthday isn't for months!
