As dolphins dance thru foamy sea You know your mermaid waits for thee No voice has she to call your name And yet you know, to you she came Upon the waves of destiny To frolick in the waves with thee Her emerald eyes tell stories great Of sailors lost and tales of fate At ease while floating in the waves She hides inside the water caves Appears at once, in sparkling view Then disappear, beneath the blue The fish will swim right by her side Thru stormy seas, as friends they glide They look for her, when she's away To join them on a brighter day Sometimes forget, a fish is she Allows herself, to frolick free Alas the water beckons home As she returns to aqua foam She can be yours for just one day Until the brine calls her away ~ |
