somewhere in a kingdom once there was a dream a boy upon a mission questing for his queen hearing rumors whispered of things he hadn't seen the searching he attempted to find what must have been desperately he hungered full of empty need braving mortal dangers sailing on the seas legends said she loved him in prophesy and lore but presently forgot him and saw him nevermore but somewhere in a spellbook washed upon the shore instructions for a potion To make her love him? like before? crazily he quested gathering the seeds enemies he bested taking what he'd need. two tears from a fallen angel the blood of a vampire bat cooked by a dragon's anger cured in a witch's vat now he could make her love him. yes love him like before! yes she again would love him! now and.. Forevermore! To home he sped so quickly! Through dangerous, treacherous seas wired and wry and wily outsmarting enemies The castle doors were open wide She sat upon her throne yet his heart broke; he almost died for she was not alone Enraged he set upon her king wrest him to the door outraged and mad and threatening he smote him to the floor but presently he turned and looked he heard a sickening shriek he saw the stricken look in her eyes and suddenly was weak he saw her pain and saw her face he saw that he had hurt her he saw her shock and saw her rage and he knew that he had lost her Yes. Once. She loved him. and now she loved him still but now she was with another He walked away quietly. Left the potion in the palace. Left to find another life Left because he knew, secretly, that it's not magic or fairy tales it's being there when she needs you it's in seeing who she is and what she wants when she wants you and you want her it's becoming something bigger it's being the thing called "we" and most importantly you shouldn't need to do something special to prove your love because if it's love between two people then it's in everything you do it's not magic |
