there's the history of women
failing in love
and ending in tragedy
some drowning in the sorrow of their fate
another story where men die in
the name of a love they sought to defend
with a knife tipped with venom
their only end
if i were a story of love
and you the jealous rage
would that you come take me away
and embed me in the pages of a book?
