I close my eyes, I see it all. The truth beyond, My hidden fall. I've said the words, That ring your ears. And much too often, I reveal my tears. I'm scared to loose, My love and you. Convince me otherwise, I know you feel it too. I'll miss you, More than words can say. Keep the memories. Don't let me fade away. My inspiration, Though, you are. I'll love you more today. Then let the distance scar. You feed me lines, With no intentions of holding on. I kiss your lips, and touch your face. For me the hope is gone. I open up my eyes, To see you standing there. You grab me by the hand, You whisper "It would not be fair." Do you believe, The words you claim? Sometimes I just look away. Because it's always the same. The things you do. I turn my head. You worry me, So many thoughts unsaid. Take the time, To let me in. All we have is time, Upon our golden sin. It's time for me, To turn the page. To open up my mind, Release it from it's cage. The sequel's yet to come. And time can only tell, If this was meant to be. The burdens build a hell. I hope I find you, Someday when your mind's clear. You'll hold me close, Away from all I've had to fear. I'm running out of room, In the book I've titled "You." I begin to understand, Perhaps you love me too? |
