My heart freezes in mid-beat My breath condenses and catches in my throat And, for a moment, the world simply, suddenly stops As one phase of my life ends, dies, fades away I know that nothing will ever be the same, again... Half a second later, when my heart resumes it's clumsy beat My breaths melts, and I exhale something like relief Something new has begun, it's a totally different world, now And, for once, I'm glad that everything has changed 'Cause things have just been so cookie cutter cruel, lately One tragedy after another, filled with demanding scenes Like life's play had gone mad, a tale told by a fool Full of false hopes, false starts, and false realities And yet, somehow,it was written with Shakespearen grace... But that's all gone now, that's all in the past There's stars to be wished on, plans to be made I've got luck on my side, now, and optimism in my heart And I realize that there is nothing that I can't do There is no dream too big, no hope too high There are only brillant and beautiful possibilities... |
