The sun doesn't shine when I'm missing you. When friends move away, and I'm feeling blue. As worries prevail over life's treasures lost A rare opportunity that I recently tossed. I must carry on thru the darkness of night Trudging thru depths, when I can't see the light. Numerous burdens, I carry around Others scoff at me, a troublesome sound. No one can help me, thru dismal despair I go it alone, breathing foul stagnant air. Longing for dawn to brighten my day Walking the path, I can't see the way. A smile given to me, suddenly appears From a stranger to my world, who comforts my tears. The seas become tranquil, with the passing of time All that was wrong, takes a turn so sublime. My spirits raised up, from where sun did not shine When you held out your hand, and put it in mine. The light of the day, the dawn with its dew Suddenly appeared, when I first met you. Deny not the hope for those who are down Where sun doesn't shine, a light can be found. ~ |
