Wrecking Ball

Wrecking ball through my home;
This whirlwind romance picked up speed.
No more quiet dinners shared from one plate.
Now, answers sound more like questions
And questions resemble barking hounds.

Violins and cellos wept songs of our love story.
We have witnesses; I vow to love, so must you.

The savage ball builds more divisions than it tears away.
Our future grows only from cause and effect.
You itemize line-by-line where to place blame.
I hurl at you guilt - hit or miss.
June's warmth is suddenly December's decay.
