One Day What I wouldn't do just to see inside Behind your shield, behind the confusion, were the truth may lie What I wouldn't give for something to hold on to A dream maybe, for in reality I have nothing to run to For in my dreams I can see the beauty behind your face As I fight an uphill struggle just to keep my faith I do have a belief that one day will come back to our place For a life without you, is a nightmare, I can't seem to face And I've spent my whole life searching for someone like you An angel who touched my lips and proved that Love is, indeed true But where is this angel that I used to know? No longer in the clouds, the heavens, or the stars This angel has lost her wings and is falling down And falling with you is our memories, our happiness, and our Love Don't worry because I'll never leave your side, I'll always be around Because as long as I'm your king and you're my queen I'll never let you fall, for you belong in the heavens and I belong here on the ground I hope that one day; you'll be able to step outside Beyond the shield and the confusion were your true feelings may hide To see the world in a different way, through your beautiful eyes And hopefully when that day comes along You can look at me to see the man inside A man that Loves this angel with ever once of his body A man that feel in Love with an angel at first glance So when that day comes along The heavens might shine upon me And maybe, just maybe I'll be granted a second chance Who knows I could be the Love of your life That's a question you have to answer and an answer I'll have to wait for So I'll wait, for my Love, I'll wait for that "One Day" |
