The sun has set and I'm still here, Sitting alone at a table, Reading a textbook on communication (ironic, isn't it?), Observing the people walking by, Watching them observe me, Listening to my music, Trying to concentrate, But to little effect (obviously!), My bare feet curled up beneath me, My warm sweater wrapped tightly around me, Maybe this is how it's supposed to be, I could be home, But what would I do there? (Sleep!!) So I'll stay a little longer, Read a little more, And keep dreaming for a while, Sitting alone at a table. :( |
