It frightened me to see you shake and quiver, So frightened by the words on the page. Strong enough to make you shiver and push me away; No longer useful. In those few moments you realised You were about to lose everything you valued, And me, you hoped, you tried... We cried tears from eachothers eyes, and hearts Until you hid away and tried to pretend Everything was normal. Normal will never have the same meaning again Now we've both stood on the edge of nothing Looking down into the mist. I hope you don't fall, I won't let you fall, Unless I'm there at the bottom to catch you. But will you let me catch you? |
