EDEN

There was a garden of pleasure
where mankind got its start
their needs were completely satisfied
and joy overflowed their heart

At peace with even the animals
who knew no fear of man
they rode the backs of tigers
and ruled the virgin land

They could eat from any tree
in this earthly paradise
but they chose the forbidden fruit
and so they paid the price

Some religions teach us
that the sin of Adam's mate
wasn't really fruit at all
but their choice to copulate

I know that sex is not sinning
but needed, so as to give birth
for God himself commanded them
to "Be fruitful and fill the earth"
