I saw him stting, head in his hands, I heard him say "Lord, I don't think she understands." "Please help her heart to hear what I say. "Covey it for me now as I pray." "I want to see you, feel you, touch you, taste you." "I want to let you know, my mind has not erased you." "I want to smell the aroma of you." "To stare into those eyes so clear and so blue." "I want to feel your hands as our fingers intwine." "I long to be yours and for you to be mine." He did not notice that I was there. He was lost in thought, and deep in prayer. He went on as I listened I could not break away, even though it is supposed to be one on one when you pray. "I want time to stand still for as long as we hold." "As we fit together like a cast and a mold." "I want to sleep on your pillow wrapped up in your arms." "To enjoy each and every one of your charms." "I want it all, it would be so sweet." "To hold you once more, would make my life complete." He said, "Thank you lord for hearing my prayer." Then he walked away as I continued to stare. He did not turn around as I watched him leave. Then I prayed some myself that she would give him repreive. Then I said the word once more and again. To the lord above for that stranger, "Amen!" |
