I do not need a dashing prince hailing from a far off land Or a millionaire on bended knee begging for my hand. I do not need a big bank account or the things that it can buy I only need you to hold me and console me when I cry. I do not want a fancy yacht or trips across the sea I do not need a brainy scholar boasting a big degree. I have no use for furs, limousines or private planes I only want you and I dancing in the rain. I do not have to have a cabin nestled in the mountains I do not need a swimming pool complete with all the fountains. I do not desire a macho man showing off his might I only have to have your arms to hold me late at night. I do not pray for an assistant to wait on me hand and foot And I would surely laugh at a maid sent to clean our soot. I do not call for exotic pets to keep me company I only pray that you will always share your life with me. Material possessions can break or be lost I do not need things that come with a cost. Rugged good looks are just a display It's the inner beauty that I want everyday. I want to be loved when I am gray and old I need someone to have and to hold. I would like my hand held as I stroll down the street I yearn for the feeling that my life is complete. I want someone to listen as I moan and I groan And stand by my side as we face the unknown. I want to be loved matter what I go through And I want all of these things for me and for you. For you are the one that I am writing about You are the one that has erased all my doubt. You are the one I want, need and desire And you are the only thing I will ever require. As always, To my Beau |
