Why does she have to be so beautiful? Her piercing eyes plunge straight to my heart I became blind right from the start. Everyone says she's wrong for me to pursue But they cannot understand They will never experience the way she touches me. They'll never see her the way I do. Why does she have to be so nice? She smiles, melting glaciers inside me I try not to stare for fear of this magic moment dissipating through the cracks the armor upon my heart contains... She is a dream a golden splendor of blinding radiance She would make me so happy If she'd stop twisting my heartstrings, causing the pain again. I shall treasure each moment each breath spent beside her Feeling a warmth that requires not a single caress. They say she's wrong for me. That my heart will be crushed... But every time I see her I'll treasure as always And her image will haunt my dreams. I guess I'll have to be content at restitching torn seams. |
