(3) The different forms of madness, -- insanity, wildness, raving, nonsense, are shadings which contain many indeterminate qualities, concerning the determinations which they have in contrast to each other, just as they themselves confront conditions which common sense accepts. As important as this differentiation is for the treatment of these diseases, it is at the same time a perversion to want to create an awareness of human beings on that basis, as well as on the basis of crimes and other depravities and disturbances of humanity. To recognise these disorders presupposes in fact a concept of what the human being should be. I am mad, yes. Quite mad, actually. I am mad for you, dear lady. Mad for your juice. How I loved to drink your juice until I was drunk with your juice as your sweet, ripe juice dribbled down my chin. You let me in. Again and again. Is it sin, then, to want more? To hunger for you beyond all reason? It is madness but I am ravenous with desire. I want more of you. If this makes me a madman, may I bay at your moon as long as I exist in this bitter realm. |
