A reedy pool of water amidst the dry parched land where thirst for love is quenched where once had been drought sand The dried up waste of life where desert willows grow and camels brave the storms of the barren ravaged snow The cracked and hard baked ground hosts a blowing dust of pain as hot winds scorch the surface where tumbleweeds remain Abandoned hearts are dying on the ravaged shriveled shores where once had flowed a river from the oceans torrid floor The dessicated bodies of those whose loves had died where only tears could dampen on the soil where they cried The years of faintest trickle with the mist of those who wept the dew of saddened mornings after lonely nights they slept Leaving moisture for a moment a respite tear in time followed by the bleakened drought of the thirsting sorrows whine Now a reedy pool of love has appeared upon the land an oasis amidst the sands of life from God's own outstretched hand . |
