Don't care if you are chubby or very very thin don't care if you have grey hair or a clef deep in your chin Don't care if you're a short guy or very very tall don't care if you wear sneakers or don't wear shoes at all Don't care if you are hairy or have a dimpled cheek don't care if you have muscles or seem a little weak Don't care if you should have a scar or skin that's baby soft Don't care if you strut a golden tan or if you're socially scoffed Don't care if you are bald or plump with whiskers on your face Don't care if you wear leather clothes or wear a knee wrapped brace Don't care if you are rugged or smooth as Bristol cream don't care if you ride harley's or sport a Lexus dream Don't care if you wear glasses or see better in the dark don't care if you have tattoos or skin that's smooth and stark Don't care if you are brown and svelte or white as winter's snow Don't care if you've been bred with blue or lack regalia's show Don't care if you're a lawyer or work in Macy's store Don't care if you love bowling or surfing on the shore Don't care the color of your hair or the color of your eyes Don't care if you are lifting weights or if you've won a prize Don't care if you can write sweet words to impress seductively Don't care if you can gab for hours and rant constructively This list is wrought with frivolous thought the trivial outward view which some consider all that matters that's all they pay heed to But I guess I am quite different for all I care to see is what lies in your heartfelt mind how you embellish me Your interaction with others the workings of your soul the way you treat your neighbor the virtues you extol The way you hold and kiss me the warmth of your embrace the way I feel when you come near the sunshine in your face The smile of your approval your thoughtful cheery way your regard for all my feelings each and every day They way you try to please me the loving that you make the way you give to all who live how you never seek to take Your zeal for truth and friendship Your lust for life and me These are the things I cherish These are the things I see .... |
