its spine jagged and broken lost in a lake of forgotten sighs sits an isle lush and living under a bare and lifeless sky spared the death of winter by a heart slow beat away with veins of molten lava spring holds winter at bay off in its wilderness lies a lone and lovely house with birds of rainbow hues singing tunes so sprightly false fawns of whitest fur ambling all in playful games one could never suspect or know the centuries its been the same with this eternal spring summer never to come, wane fall never to change the leaves winter will forever be its bane an of the one who lives here she who will not change many times the twenty she appears at closest range as her memories dim to nothing hurt over years can fade only her love everlasting for this lost and forgotten glade |
