I hear from friends you cannot stand to see me hold another's hand It cuts too deep, it's much too real You hate the way it makes you feel. Ok, there's just one thing that I don't get. You had your chance, what didn't work was our romance We both agree that now we're said and done. You're still someone I call a friend, it's almost like there was no end I'm sure that what we did was right. And I'd hoped to avoid this talk today, there's something I just shouldn't say, but since you've opened this can of worms... I've made a brand new healthy start, given someone else my heart Yet there's one fact that still remains. Every time I look at you I start to hate this 'break-up' too So you see I think I'm just plain screwed. |
