True love can lend wings teach two people to soar And the best kind of love leaves one desperate for more But like anything else love has more than one face It can hurt, it can wound in the wrong time and place We as humans possess emotions that are so strong, we sometimes lose control, trade what's right for what's wrong But the answer is not to just lock up your heart, walk away from what stings, give up beauty and art We just have to remember watch out for our flaw, face the monster and resist, escape Revenge's sharp claw People failed this today, and when it's all said and done, this place will go on (but we've lost a good one) |
