That was the discussion last night. Which type of man are you? they all asked each other. A very serious question indeed! Which type of woman do men prefer? I found myself wondering which girl am I? And which one do others think I am? I said I'm more Mary Ann than Ginger. My ex disagreed - he said I'm definitely a Ginger. And he said it like it was his crowning achievement - "Hey, I bagged a Ginger!" I knew that breaking up with him was a good idea. What did he mean by that, anyway? That I'm sexy? An airhead? Good in bed? Funny, because what he loved most about me were my Mary Ann qualities: I'm smart, sweet (most of the time), and a good cook. Or so he said. Maybe he was only with me because I'm good in bed. Why do woman have to be categorized as one type or the other? I think I have traits of both - I may look like a Ginger, but at heart I'm really a Mary Ann. I hope the next girl he dates really is a Ginger. And the next guy I date hasn't even seen Gilligan's Island. |
