Flower Of Love

I flew to the moon on gossamer wings last night as I lay in your arms,
For no experience this sad world had to offer had prepared me for your charms,
Had shown me how beautiful love could be when shared with one such as you,
All the stars, the moon, the whole silken universe, they had seen and knew,
Of ecstasy's garden, the seed there planted and the flower of love now grown
so beautiful each sweet bloom and bud, loves fragrance makes my senses moan.
For each stem and petal so fragile and tenuous, that no mere flesh can feel,
For only with the heart, the senses, the emotions, can love's blossom be so real
And only with you may I walk in love's garden to the flower for which we have cared,
And we feed and nurture this most precious creation, born of the joy we have shared.
