A poet once said, "There's a certain pleasure in being mad Which only a madman could know." So as I think about you It should thus also be true That madness must be the way to go! Or have I drifted too far afield Or should I otherwise yield To sanity such as I knew it before? I was once there in the past Not truly knowing how aghast And frustrating it was at the time. So let it be known To the world thus be shown, That I prefer madness to sanity in this rhyme! So darling, my dear, I must tell you I fear That I'm as cuckoo as cuckoo can be. I've looked at myself like a book on a shelf And read nothing but madness in me!!! |
