I would if she could but she can't so I won't Though my motto has been, "Don't ever say don't." So where are we then? Is it "can't?" Is it "could?" I wish I knew where we really stood. Such is life - a most confounding state, Be it filled with strife, half-steeped in hate. Or is life like a ship cruising a calm open sea, Riding gently o'er the waves challenging gravity? A sense of well-being, an urge to be free, To sail with one who sets to sail with me. On a journey of bliss lasting an eternity. A lifetime of together days forever - in perpetuity. The choice between choices is to me clear to glean, The latter's as it should be - the former senseless and mean. I know you now know how I feel 'bout you, Do I trust, do I hope, your choice be similarly true? |
