There are some relationships in life which cannot be defined. There are certain feelings which cannot be named.There is a place in between love and friendship, which I think only a lucky few are capable of experiencing. A complete confidence in another person, whom you know will never intentionally harm or hurt you, scar or wound you. Someone whose problems always take precedence over your own, and when they're around all your fears and worries, no matter how insignificant or monumental pale into nothing like the last few seconds of a spectacular sunset as it drifts below the horizon. I am not a die hard believer in fate, or destiny, or kismet, but I do think that these people come int your life at a pre ordained time. A time of weariness, disillusionment, and when one is unable to put their trust in anyone not because they don't want to. But because at that moment in time it is possibly the hardest thing in the world to do. It is not easy to set yourself up for a downfall when one's pain has reached it's brink. It is then that these rare individuals veritably explode into your life with no warning and all the energy and passion of an untamable force of nature, and whisper silently to your soul "Sorry I'm late, but I'm here now. I will always be here" And nothing else needs to be said for there are some relationships which cannot be defined, and there are certain feelings which cannot be named. |
