What has happened to the love I used to know, The love we once shared? I walk past you in the hall, and you don't even glance my way. You no longer kiss me bye, "I'll see you tonight" is all you'll say. This house feels so empty, Our bed so cold. You come home from work and watch t.v. until you pass out, So I cover you up and kiss you goodnight without you even knowing I was there. No words are spoken from you, and the daily questions of "How was your day, sweetie? Is there something I can get you?" doesn't do it's job of making conversation. I always thought our love would last forever, "And they lived happily ever after" type of love. Was I wrong to believe in fairytales? Has our happy ending come to a sad farewell? |
