Hearts are not gameboards, where one rolls dice out of curiosity, or boredom. When you try for deep, you're asking for it all, so let's not claim you had no idea. I just don't believe you didn't know what you were doing, that would suggest that you and your heart are barely on speaking terms, cold strangers who nod poltely, but really don't converse. So the possibilities are two: You knew exactly what you were doing, which makes you a lot more than a bit of a bastard, or you really DIDN'T know which makes you a gifted sort of stupid.
