It doesn't matter He, She, It, They. A thousand, A hundred, A single source. Polytheist Or monotheist, A spade's a spade-- In Love's rose colored Eyes. But as you're praying To Buddha, Or Christ, Vishnu, Or Aphrodite-- Whichever one, Or two, Or three, Or all, Remember this: God has nothing to do With the follies of Man. You cannot mend a heart, Or will a way, By the kind simplicity alone Of a heartsong Prayer. |
