Ok plop sound as cork is pulled. 10.30 pm Saturday night, July but still cold.Across the hall Dennis is home with woman , maybe girlfriend, don,t know cos Dennis just moved in.Rainy night in Georgia playin on CD, good ole Randy.Lets crank Randy up a few notches just in case Dennis gets lucky.Another Saturday night, me , Randy and chardonnay. Never been to Georgia but can imagine myself lookin out of rain soaked window,hey I,ve seen Georgia on tv I think , wasn,t Burt Lancaster in a film there or was that Atlanta, hell all the same huh. Its a rainy night here and its 12 years since I looked into your eyes, seen you around town but best left in the past, a woman now WOW strange to think of you that way.Time hasn,t gotten you out of my system, hell after 12 years guess I,m a lost cause huh.Still got sillies like train tickets and toothbrush, guess they don,t help if I,m gonna let the past go.You are still deep in me princess and even in Georgia lookin thru rainy windows I will still love you.Hell guess its you and me Randy. |
