The Walk

It's a long road to be on

They ask me if I'm lonely

It's a long road to walk alone.

But i do it,

I do it everyday.

Please don't judge me,

You people on the other streets.

Don't look at me

And say that you know me.

You don't know what it's like to walk on this road.

This road of lost hopes.

Don't laugh when you see me crying on my road.

You can't judge someone by their shadow.

And that's all you see of me,

The shadow I wrap around me.

The shards of my broken heart lead me to it

And no I have to walk them.

Don't label me until you've followed the blood trail I've left on my road.

The only love that can ease my heart,

And guide my steps,

I haven't found.

I'll know when I see him walking down my road,

Towards me.

The only one who hasn't judged me,

And then love will be worth it.

Don't jeer this path,

Because one day soon you'll find yourself alone,

With the darkness on your back,

Following a sharp winding road,

Just like mine.
