Lighten Up! Toss Problems Overboard!
Old Salt metaphor -- a hot blind date,
but tsunami soon they learned to hate.
To her, He just didn't manage to rate!
He complained, She's wide as a crate!
He even claimed, She struck like a krait!
Smart man, he didn't dare tarry to wait
for her to seal what might be his fate.
Buoy, shivers! What you find on a date!
Of course, she replied, metaphor-ick-Leigh,
and quickly, tho' most un-deny-able-Leigh,
and pointedly, NOT un-cat-a-gore-ick-Leigh:
To quote, You can't buy a piece of me!
Go with your dirty oars, mast, yer load!
So toad, you take it on down the road
(with glee) or ship it, sir, on out to sea!
I'd ride out a storm than sit in yer lea!
Better break out the sails, even the oars;
do be careful, sailor, what ya met 'a phor,
Oh dear, you could be lucky it ain't more,
ahoy, sir, than just being shown the door!
To which he retorted, Take back your bait!
I've got better stuff tied on sinker weights!
Thar she blows! So watch this raft deflate!
There are other ways of dumping a date!
