So now you're so highly educated you can use a word like "cumbersome" ... toss that at me again! No, wait! There was a time when you could only have managed using a piece of that word. No, wait! It's my turn. I thought you loved me. Do I really drag you down now as some imagined weight? Am I that difficult for you to handle? What trouble am I now to you? Okay, why don't you confess about that ill-chosen, cumbersome drain on your wallet lately? Don't look at me like that! I saw the bills. The three martini lunches, the cheap hotel rooms, and the long drives to get to them. What a romantic you are! Want some ten dollar words? SEE how onerous, cumbersome, troublesome, embarrassing for one of us this could be? Let me save you this difficult apology since you won't make it, and I won't accept it. Let me tell you about "cumbersome" so you understand the word. It would be a weight off my chest. Lighten-up the load on my heart! Then you can take "cumbersome" and pack it up and move the two of you on out of here.
