Oh, man, look over yonder; that got to be the strangest thing I ever seen, Jaws on that baby gotta be two foot wide and them lips sure do look mean. I heard 'bout this sucker somewheres, sayin' it was like some kind o' trap, An' it catch an' jerk anything come near an' make it disappear with a snap. Ain't the prettiest sight hit the eyes, got to be somethin' else underneath, How you think it snag prey so easily; Lord almighty, thing's got some teeth! Don't you get too close, now; I sure that's exactly what she want you to do, One step in th' wrong direction an' she gonna bite off more than y'can chew. Been payin' attention to the way she lures 'em in, an' I think I got her beat, See how moist the center is an' th' surface glisten; that part gotta be sweet. I gotta say mighty clever how she reels 'em in, an' that ain't even the worst! Once they in her clutches, she wrap 'em in strangehold an' suck 'em dry first! Can't be all bad, though, 'cause she been 'round longer than anyone's guess, Make sense to me if she gettin' enough to stay open this long, I will confess. Maybe we misunderstood the stories 'bout the crazy way in which she feeds, But I still say it one odd specimen that reproduce itself swallowin' the seeds! Even what it called sound different, seem it first name somethin' like Venus, Make up th' last one on the fly, long as y'keep a safe distance between us. |
