I am so alive at mid-morn on this December day's drive, sixteen miles of twisty bliss through tree-lined roads and California chaparral, Oaks and pine fronds shimmer like tinsel, outstretched towards the sun. The crisp sky is brillant, cold and clear - mistletoe taunts from sycamores and the smell of cookies rounds each curve. Your hands rest comfortably on the wheel as we near the wine country; fence posts are donned with ribbon and angels beckon us to come and taste the fall's harvest, embracing the season that is filled with love.
