MY FAITH IN YOU

MY FAITH IN YOU

The tide is right, but where are you?
I've come to keep my vow.
The horizon's bare, you're not in view.
The sand's turned quick now.
No sail, no sunset, you're overdue,
did I misunderstand somehow?
Our slips and misses are very few.
So I'll keep my faith, till on your bow,
we pledge our lovers' vows anew.

The tide's gone out, but where are you?
Has something kept you overlong?
I've checked the harbor and the pew.
What could have possibly gone wrong?
No you, no we; I haven't a clue,
as I search your face in the throng.
I have this fear when you're past due;
but my faith in you keeps me strong.
Yes, I'm already faithfully one with you.
