Embers Become An Eden

As from times our fire began, we worshipped warmth and glowing of auras alight,
Outstretched arms and the melting of lovers into one pulse never failed to delight.
It seemed we pledged sunlight fair and selected a star as a reminder of our bond,
To forever treasure the heat of passion we shared to be carried to a great beyond.
Welded to nights were promises of gran amor, whispers, moments shared apiece,
So came our ensnakement and highlung screams of bodies collapsing in release.

Now the landscape before me lies scorched by a warfare, cities of the heart razed,
Where I tread crunches shattered imagination and ashes of dreamscapes ablazed.
Out of the corner of my eye I witness the execution of we, disbelieving it could die,
Who could ever be so cruel to order the holocaust of something such as you and I?
Deserted lands, devoid of an oasis or anything to quench a will parched by deceit,
Cry, my lovely, as great Alexander when conquest of his world became complete.

Look you closely at the mirrorlands beyond my eyes, the realms behind the vision,
See the distant waters ride high suborned to blistering sunlight, guided by decision.
From hands that lost you come the overflow of tears, awash on the thirsting ground,
And the cycle of renewal grows lush hopes, enriched by nature of next time around.
As you feast with your Hellmaster our embers become an Eden for she and I alone,
A place where sanctity of sensuality begets a greater paradise than I've ever known.
