"When can I see you again?" he asked. Oh....in time my friend..in time. "Why the hesitation? Why the reluctance?" he asked. The reason unknown is too painful to reveal. Why do you crave my attention? Why do you long for my company? Perhaps because I am the only one that can relate to your soul. So if this be true, why is betrayal the answer? Why do you seek the sinful indulgence of another? Is it because you question my fidelity? Or is it because you question your own security? Why the lying, adulterous schemes of passion? In essence, which way do I go? Do I believe those irresistible words spoken by your silver tongue? Or do I observe my internal dialogue telling me to forget you forever? Here again I find myself in the center of the paths of wonder and question. Whatever the choice taken will be the ultimate and inevitable road to my eternal misery. |
