My Love for You My love for you is not a reverence nor magniloquence that drapes you in bright white gowns nor paints you with wings. It is not held in a daydream that sits alone at a fountain watching pigeons peck thin air beneath a marbled ghost. My love for you is a licentious beast wild as muscadine vines that dangle fruit beyond the reach of prodigious hands too lazy to climb. It is marvelously wicked and painful treacherous as the sea more bold than a righteous peddler selling air already breathed. |
