Lady Fair

You took from me all I could give
I became frantic to give you more
You saw my soul and could not forgive
And then you closed the door

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair
Let it fly as we drive through the mountains
Below you waits your knight so fair
To bathe you in the fountains

With raspberries I will tickle you
And share such moments sweet
You'll have to let me come on through
The walls no man can beat

I'll cook for you, and wash your hair
And keep you safe and warm
I promise you no one no where
Will ever do you harm

Wipe from my face these hot wet tears
And let me come back inside
The world outside will harbor no fears
We'll travel far and wide

To England go for castles grand
And Paris for the lamb
The Louvre holds no treasure like your hand
Forever yours I am

The chariot is broken now
No more will we fly through the hills
But I shall never break the vow
I whispered through your will

My lady fair, let down that hair
