Apology to Dante

I push my soul slowly side by side
With Sisyphus up the hill
His boulder leaves little room,
The ramp is narrow, my feet still

I wait for him to pass by me
Knowing he will fail and slip
And though my soul is lighter
I know I'll lose my grip

Down seven levels to the heat
Of hell and damnations fire
I go to rooms of lonely folk
To watch my ex live wire

She sits below, in hell of yahoo
Enjoying male attention
I lurk about in Holmes' disguise
For her my name to mention

How hot this fire, how great the fall
The chat is fast and engaging
And all the women fair and hopeful
With presence she's upstaging

I grease the ramp, and Sisyphus' feet
Sabotage my own salvation
By merely watching harmless chat
From my computer station
