Sitting, lounging, reposed Take your pick It all produces the same outcome My mind reels backward then forwards then backwards again On the intonation of your voice When you're serious When you're joking When you say the word 'Please' My lips form a slight smile without my knowledge My mind reels I seem to deni the fact that I'll EVER stand firm When it comes to you I say 'no' And before it even escapes my mouth I am annoyed with the fact That I already know I won't win Why does your voice have to sound so wonderful when you say 'Please'? My mind reels If I could only learn how to sound like you The outcome of my 'no' would be much different But do I really want it to? My mind reels And another smile finds a home on my lips |
