Once Upon A Time there was a princess so full of love and kindness for all around her,, that she didn't know just how beautiful and desirable she truly had become over the years...She had lived her whole life pleasing others in her life that one day upon sitting on the bank of the stream near the castle and realised just how lonely and unhappy she had grown... All that knew the princess stressed the duties that would befall her when she was queen,,but the lonely princess had no desire to be queen,, in fact the only desire the princess held in her heart,, was to find true happiness in one to love for all time.... The princess went day to day,, growing lonelier and lonelier,, longing for a happiness she couldn't find...and one night she was brought to tears at the meer sight of two love birds on the windows edge.. and decided she had to find such love,, such peace.. and she run out of the castle and threw the massive yard, reaching a fork in the narrow road, to the right lay tall trees.. and sunshine,,, she could hear the birds singing and the movements of the animals,, calling to to her like a paradise,, to the left was thick, tall trees,, with grey clouds lumming over the tops ,, no birds ,,no animal,, no paradise,, just a force pulling her towards its center... The princess hesitated only momentary,, looked quickly to the castle,,and ran full force into the darkened woods... She ran and ran as the force called to her soul... just as she was in the hear to the woods the pull was gone.. and she stood gasping for breath,, looking around and feeling the fear and panic creep up her spine,,, The princess was so blinded bye the pull into the woods ,, she hadn't paid attention to her way,, and was now lost in the dark woods,, fear and panic riding her spine.. She kept moving,, til she heard a stream, and followed the sound til she came to stand on a huge flat rock 10 ft above the stream,, the rushing water talking to her soul,, she slide down and decided she most rest.... before she new it she was sleeping up this rock,, with the steam singing her a lullaby.. In her sweet sleep she was resting upon this very rock,, panic and fear ripping at her,, when out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of a shadow among the trees below... she screamed and stood to run,, but was to late.. as the shadow was moving closer,, she could hear the wind blowing around it and stopped cold,, as a calm washed over her body and mind,, she was no long scared nor unhappy,,, the rush of warmth swam threw her body,, invading her flesh and blood..crashing her to her knees with a stream of tears running down her face ,, as for the first time in her life,, she know what true peace felt like..... she stayed there upon that rock,, searching the trees for the shadow that brought such peace to her soul,, but saw nothing,, one the wind blowing between the trees and the voice that seemed to caress her very soul "I have waited a eternity for you to come to Me,, but for how long shall I have You.. shall you take what I offer you and run back to your castle or will you accept what I offer and live at peace within the woods with Me.... The princess was so at peace within herself,, as she had never been,, she felt no dread or loneliness sitting here in the woods with this shadow who offered her true peace.. She looked to the woods and saw the shadow there then,, she stood and spoke into the wind "I have waited My whole life for such feeling within myself.. and here in the woods among nothing save you shadow I have peace I have never known,, that I should stay amongst the trees and you, my shadow for ever and continue to know such peace is more than I deserve,,,how can I love thee if I cant touch thee,, How can I possibly hold onto these feelings " To all this dought the shadow only spoke the following "Live for what We could have,, not What WE don't have" and the shadow was gone.. The princess woke with a jerk,, tears in her eyes as she realized that never would she go back to her castle for these woods were in her blood,, the shadow in her heart and peace she finally had and would not leave behind...................just then a smile formed upon her lips.. and out of the trees came the shadow,, moving closer,, she stood and moved towards it,, the closer it came to her the shadow began to fade away and the form of a man appeared... and took her in his arms and kissed her softly "As You Wish,,, I shall be with you here in the woods for ever" |
