| Took a walk through the park this evening, didn,t fancy going through town, too many people.Seem to like my own company these days, maybe more than I should.As much as I enjoy the bar I occasionally go to,a few beers,chatting with friends,catching up with the news, it all changes when the sun goes down.Its the time the couples start to appear, the "married",the "working on it",the "first date". Its the time we "singles" realise there,s something missing.I see the "married" couples feeling comfortable because the struggle is over.I see the "working on it" couples with the is he/she what I really want looks in their eyes.I see the "first date" couples full of anticipation of whats to come.I have caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror behind the bar and seen a "single" who wants to be anywhere but there.There are times of day when being "single" is managable,but when the sun goes down we look in the mirror. |
