Somewhere There is a Love

Somewhere there is a love facing the corner of a room, sent to time out for being less then perfect. Somewhere there is a love walking the street at night, with only the headlights of cars and the moonlight to guide her way. She's giving herself away, so that she can put food on the table, and cloths on the back of the newborn child that daddy didn't stick around to see grow up. Somewhere there is a love being neglected, given only just enough in return to keep them around. There is a love out there, it's sailing on the seas, it's soaring through the sky, it's crawling across the floor on all fours begging to be noticed. Somewhere there is a love with a needle in their arm, getting a quick fix, letting the poison course through their veins. It's trying to find an escape, an outlet for the pain. Somewhere there is a love getting beat down again with insults about their weight, or because what they made for dinner wasn't received with open arms. Somewhere there is a love with open arms waiting for someone to embrace them. Waiting for the warmth that only comes from anothers touch.  Somewhere there is a love standing at the alter, having second thoughts about the step they are about to take; wanting only to turn and run. There is a love out there that outshines the rays of the sun. It inspires poetry, and brings a tear to your eye when you hear about it's story. There is a love out there for all of us. Its searching as we are, trying to find that cosmic connection that you learn exists in movies, so if people can dream about it, then it must be true.  Somewhere there is a love for me. Somewhere there is a love for you.
