digestion

I

digest you daily. With my morning milk. I feel you slide down my throat, slick and smooth in your consistancy. I lay back down in my bed, just a hands toss away from the kitchen. I can see the egg noodles that fell from last night, dried and uncooked on the linoleum.

"My mouth keeps your taste in it, behind my tongue, tinging my teeth."

At times it's not enough to simply taste you, to take you into me. If it were possible for our bodies to intertwine, for our limbs to become inextricable from each other. Could that we live inside one another, our bodies changing in color of heat. Body heat.

"I would be blue, our bodies blue together, perhaps with clouds swirled in for measure."

To float on those days, we couldn't swim. Swim in each other, when we couldn't have the other for Sustenance
