SIMPLE PHILOSOPHY ALLOWS A VENT

QUESTIONS:

Who wants to be reduced to principles
that don't allow a vent? -- K.I.S.S.!!
Philosophers live according to the rules
of practical wisdom -- whose "rules"?
(Imperfect, and human being ...
I should have been a tree
somebody would protect me!)
Who's rules? I say with practiced calmness
and louder, only because
in practicality (give me a Pepsi),
the public taste of hemlock is revolting.
But I used to submit -- well, before I quit.

I'd learned of Shelley's Love's Philosophy
from one who had none, in truth,
always exchanging one truth (the liar)
for another when under covers with me.
I'd learned from one who lived unfaithfully;
he tried other paths, roads for lesser loads
unwise, tales told, watched a fool unfold

I have enjoyed the wisdom of Santayana;
but foolishly reached, yes I did, I atone,
for philosopher's stone, alchemy'd alone.
Will you still love me for that? Do I care?
Beats the hell outta me -- maybe manaña.
Back to calmness, searched the ordinary
looked at universe from can't to sai baba;
hear cries, the brainwasher, blackmailer's
"truths", some as silver as some tongues
of devil, glitzy fool's gold, uncouths ...

I listened to all their varnished "truths"
to rebel, no convert ... and rather convert
a "silk purse to sow's ear", too mercurial,
than to try and reform the likes of you few:
the rabble, the rouser, innocence douser!
Here's bus token for your last river boatman,
devil, rusting hulk with insult, a gloatman.
