We all at sometime during the day look in the mirror for various reasons.Usually its for the mundane things like combing our hair,brushing our teeth,shaving(women excluded of course).What we don,t often see is the look in our eyes, we see that look every single day yet do we really see whats behind the eyes.I found myself doing that very thing tonight.To all intents and purposes we stare at a stranger, we see what everyone else sees all day every day but what do they see.Tonight I saw someone who,s getting by,going through the motions,not what I thought I would see.There wasn,t a spark there, no twinkle that I thought I had, maybe I have it in my work environment but it wasn,t there in the mirror.Maybe we put on a face for others,don,t let them know that behind the mask we aren,t the happy go lucky person they see every day.I don,t know when I lost the sparkle but I,m sad its gone.I,ll sneak up on myself later and hopefully see the sparkle out of the corner of my eye,if I don,t see it I guess its an ad in the lost and found section of the local newspaper. LOST....2 SPARKLES (EYE TYPE)MAY BE FOUND NEAR A BROKEN HEART. REWARD OFFERED. |
