I scaled your wall, looked over the edge and liked what I saw. But as I went to climb down, the wall started to grow. More bricks were added, and mortar filled the cracks. As fast as I could climb down, the faster your wall would grow. So I've decided to stop climbing. I can't keep up this pace forever, my body and my heart can't bear the punishment. And so I turned and climbed back down the other side from which I came. This doesn't mean that I'm giving up on us, nor am I giving up on you. It just means that I'm going to have to get myself a wreaking ball and knock the damn wall down. |
