How do I explain to thee You never disagree I'm choking on uncertainty and animosity The reason for your agony The only thing you need Is a cure for indecision that is rubbing off on me I would like to have an answer But the question still escapes me Show me the compassion in a sanctity that burns I appreciate the teaching But I'm not prepared to learn I can't meet you half way If you're moving in reverse How am I to love or leave this curse? Ultamatums never work Discussing idle deeds The potential consequential acts are bound to soon proceed Place the blame and plant the seed You love to see me plead Watch me chasing and replacing What I thought you gave to me How was I to know what you call love Is known to others best as greed. You need to shield yourself by lashing out in fear You keep me at distance But you beg to have me near Keep it on the surface The emotion's never clear I can't fathom Why you want me here Nothing beats me down like me the last thing that I need is your confusion like a weapon to assist me in my deed Promising a covenant Recanting it with speed Drowning in irresolution And the malice that you breed I've been searching for a reason to be pitiful and you give Me the motivation to rake coals across my knees The illusion is confusion but its calculated grief tearing down in the inside leave the outside looking clean Make your mind up Love or leave me be! |
